Meet the Founder & Panchpath

Panchpath grew out of lived experience—of years spent observing how ideas evolve, how businesses grow, and how people navigate complexity while trying to build something meaningful.

At its heart is Shaalvi, a business and design advisor whose work has spanned strategy, product thinking, UX, service design, customer experience, and branding. Over time, she has worked closely with early-stage founders, growing teams, and established organisations across industries—often stepping in at moments of transition, when clarity mattered more than speed.

Some of the teams she worked with were backed by global investors and accelerators such as Tiger Global, Peak XV, Prime Venture Partners, Alchemist Accelerator, and 500 Global. Others were supported by strong cultural, institutional, or leadership ecosystems across media, luxury, and professional services. While the scale and context varied, the core responsibility remained the same: helping teams make sense of what they were building, for whom, and how it would sustain itself over time.

Across these experiences, Shaalvi noticed a recurring pattern.
Good work rarely struggles because of lack of intent or effort. It struggles when things are built out of order—when design is rushed before clarity, when growth outpaces systems, or when visibility increases without cohesion.

Alongside these roles, Shaalvi has collaborated with brands and studios operating at the intersection of design, culture, and business—most notably Bonito Designs, backed by Gauri Khan and Manish Malhotra. Her work across geographies has involved close collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams distributed across the USA, UAE, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the UK. Known for her ability to act as a strong bridge between product, design, and development, she brings clarity to complex, cross-functional environments—aligning stakeholders, translating vision into execution, and ensuring that systems scale without losing intent. This exposure to diverse cultural contexts and working styles has shaped her strength in building design ecosystems that work across borders, teams, and time zones.

How the Thinking Took Shape

Through years of hands-on work—as a lead designer, researcher, and experience strategist—Shaalvi found herself consistently bridging gaps. Between vision and execution. Between business goals and user realities. Between what teams wanted to say and what people actually heard.

She learned that individual deliverables—logos, websites, platforms—only work when they are part of a larger, thoughtful structure. That customer journeys matter as much as customer acquisition. And that sustainable growth depends on systems, language, and trust working together.

This understanding eventually shaped Panchpath—not as a studio offering services, but as a practice designed to support work through stages.

Panchpath itself is fully led and managed by Shaalvi, and reflects her belief in listening before deciding, structure before scale, and journeys that people can understand and stay with.

Over time, Shaalvi realised that meaningful work tends to move through distinct phases. Panchpath brings these together as five paths—not as a rigid framework, but as a reflection of how work naturally matures.

It begins with Khoj & Innovation, where exploration and inquiry help surface what truly sits at the heart of what’s being built.

It moves into Systems, where ideas are shaped into coherent structures—connecting design, delivery, and decision-making so growth feels supported rather than strained.

As clarity forms, Language refines how the work speaks—visually and verbally—so what’s offered resonates with ease and consistency.

From there, Network looks outward—to the ecosystems, platforms, and communities that allow work to grow with meaning rather than noise.

Finally, Sustainability focuses on longevity—designing for relevance over time, adaptability through change, and growth that doesn’t dilute intent.

On a candid note!

Beyond her professional work, Shaalvi is deeply invested in mentoring—supporting emerging designers, founders, and thinkers as they navigate early uncertainty. She also draws inspiration from various art and cultural forms, including Carnatic music, believing that design is enriched when it stays connected to culture, rhythm, and human expression.
